Troubleshooting surround sound 5.1 audio
To get surround sound audio, a video must have a 5.1 badge indicating it has been encoded for surround sound, and your device must have surround sound speakers connected.
If you're watching a video with a 5.1 badge and have surround sound speakers connected but aren't getting surround sound audio, try the following platform-specific troubleshooting tips:

- Ensure your Android TV sound format is set to Automatic
- Navigate to Settings > Display & Sound > Advanced Sound Settings > select Automatic
