Why didn't my annual subscription auto-renew?
Per some consumer protection laws, such as the German Fair Customer Contracts Act (FCCA) and Quebec's Consumer Protection Act (CPA), some annual subscriptions will be set to cancel instead of auto-renewing at the end of your one-year subscription period in impacted regions under one or more of the following conditions:
- Payment information based in Germany or Quebec was used to pay at checkout
- Your geo-location was determined to be in Germany or Quebec during checkout
- A German card is set as your default payment method
- German is set as your default language preference under Account settings
How can I tell if my account has been opted out of autorenewal?
Your subscription will be set to cancel 30 days before your renewal date, and you will receive an email notification as a reminder that includes steps to resume your subscription if you’d like to continue it.
To view the status of your subscription, follow the steps below.
1. Navigate to the settings menu in the top right corner of the screen by clicking on your avatar.
2. Click on Manage Subscription within the Billing and Subscription settings page.
3. If you’d like to continue your subscription, click the “Resume subscription” button and your subscription will continue for the next year.
If you don't want to renew, you don't need to do anything else. You’ll continue to have access until the end of your billing cycle and then your subscription will end.
